Dry, rough, frizzy, dull and just plain sad. Yup, that’s the state of my hair throughout the year. My hair seems to have a mind of its own and I personally think that it hates me. Which is why; I end up having exceptionally high number of bad hair days. I have been looking for solutions to it but to no avail. Finally I decided that I need to accept my fate and move on with my life when Wella decided to give me a ray of hope. Were my hair wishes fulfilled or was I disappointed again? First let me tell you a little about the Elements range before I go on to describe my experience J

What is the Wella Elements range?
Wella Professionals has introduced Elements to the Indian market ; it is the first Wella Professionals range of care products which are free of sulfates, parabens and artificial colorants. Wella Professionals has also specially created a new fragrance, inspired by the green wood’s of the Amazon forest. Sulfates, parabens and artificial colorants are commonly used, safe ingredients in hair care and have been extensively tested but some people wish to avoid them, so the scientists at Wella Professionals have developed the exclusive NuTREE complex which is enriched with natural tree extract – a powerful antioxidant which helps reduce free radical damage.

Dr Kerstin Meyer Lipp had especially come to India to launch this product and to answer our questions. One common question that a lot of bloggers had was how effective was the product on Indian hair and would it suit the Indian hair habit of oiling hair before wash.

Luckily for us, Dr Kerstin had come well prepared. She demonstrated an experiment where she put in some amount of oil and shampoo and then used a blender to show us the lather.

She also mentioned that for those with fine hair, using just the conditioner and the shampoo would suffice but those with thicker and drier hair should opt for the hair mask as well.

After the event, I have had the opportunity to use the product only twice which means that I cannot give you a detailed review but I can definitely tell you about my experience.

Wella Elements range: A brief review
The Wella Renewing Shampoo from the Elements range is transparent in colour and it has a pleasant fragrance that would remind you of the forest. It does not linger on after the wash. I used oil on both the occasions I shampooed my hair and I found that in the first wash, the shampoo did not lather much. In the second wash however I got a nice lather to wash my hair.
The Wella Renewing Mask is thick and creamy and I leave it on for about 5 minutes to get the best results. It makes my hair soft and smooth and I haven’t felt the need to use a conditioner. It does not weigh down my hair and that is the biggest plus for me.

So, this was my short experience on using the Elements range. Stay tuned for an in depth review J

About Munni of all Trades

We remember the day seven years back when were travelling in a Mumbai local trying hard to come up with a name for our blog when struck us; Khushboo was always called a Jack of all Trades. The name stuck (with a slight modification, of course) and Munni was born. Six years, over 100 collaborations, lakhs of readers and several awards later; our love for blogging continues to grow. We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
