Clean & Clear Oil Free moisturizer: Review

I am very confused these days. I don’t know whether I should be delighted that winter is here or lament about it. On one hand, my mom has gone all out to delight me with winter delicacies (read: gajar ka halwa) and on the other hand, my supremely dry skin has decided to start a revolt by leaving dry patches on my face and hands. Which is why; off late, I have been experimenting with different products to soothe my extremely dry skin. Did Clean & Clear Oil Free moisturizer work for me? Let’s find out

About Clean & Clear Oil Free moisturizer
A perfect addition to your dry skincare regimen, Clean & Clear moisturizer has an oil-free formula that moisturises without greasiness, and does not clog pores. The salicylic acid in it helps prevent pimples and keep your skin looking clean and clear!

Ingredients
Water, Propylene Glycol, C12 – C15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol Isostearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Salicyclic Acid, PEG-100 Stearate, Sodium Hydroxide, Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sodium Isostearoyl Lactylate, Allantoin, Carbomer, Acrylates C10 – C30 Alkyl Acrylate Cross polymer, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben Propyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben

Price: Rs. 50 for 50 ml

My Review
Clean & Clear Oil Free moisturizer comes in a convenient bottle packaging which is easy to carry. It is white in colour and it is fragrance free so that it suits sensitive skin type as well. A small pea sized drop goes a long way and it hydrates my skin immediately.
Now, it does live up to its claims of being oil free and I love how light it is. However, since I have extremely dry skin, I need to reapply it every two hours or so which is not really my favourite thing to do. If you work full time and have to sit in an air conditioned workspace you will find your skin drying up much faster.
I also asked my sister, who has oily skin, to use this moisturizer a couple of times to get her opinion. For her, the Clean & Clear Oil Free moisturizer worked marvelously! All she requires is a little bit of the moisturizer and its hydrating effect lasts for 6 to 8 hours easily. She loves applying it on her face as it contains salicylic acid which prevents pimples and blackheads.
Overall, I would recommend this moisturizer for those with normal to oily skin. For those with dry skin, you might require something a little more nourishing.

I have tried clean and clear dual action moisturiser, that was pretty good! Is this a new product by C&C ? Haven't noticed this one in my local store!

Such a shame that this doesn't work as good for those with dry skin. I would have loved to try this out but this contains ingredients that I'd rather not use i.e. paraben

About Munni of all Trades

We remember the day seven years back when were travelling in a Mumbai local trying hard to come up with a name for our blog when struck us; Khushboo was always called a Jack of all Trades. The name stuck (with a slight modification, of course) and Munni was born. Six years, over 100 collaborations, lakhs of readers and several awards later; our love for blogging continues to grow. We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
