A Trip to Remember: My Fantastico experience with Zica

“She is beautiful!” Yes, these were the words that came into my mind when I saw her for the very first time. She stood there all alone, yet each and every person who walked past her couldn’t help but stare.  Soft sunlight illuminated her features and she seemed to glow with happiness. Her front grille and headlamps glimmered as the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder VCTi Revotron petrol motor purred to life. Was it love at first sight for me? Hmm… I wanted to get to know Zica better before I made a commitment. I wanted to spend some time with Zica, get to know her better and slowly become friends her. What better way than to take for her spin
So, off I went with my two other partners in crime for a wonderful ride in the all new Zica but not before we clicked as many photos of we could of this zippy li’l car.

Now, I must admit something. I do not have a driver’s license and I am terrified of driving any vehicle. So a logical question that may come in anyone’s mind is, “How will she review a car?”

My response is, why can’t I? Any car review that you may read is always from the driver’s perspective. What about the passengers who will always accompany you when you drive? I think their views matter, too. So today whatever I discuss with you is going to be from the passenger’s perspective. Hope you enjoy reading it. 🙂

One of the most important things for me in a car is a comfortable cushiony seating so that I can relax. I love long drives but sometimes I also doze off. It feels great to be able to curl and sleep off in the car. So how did Zica do in this department? Well, it was Fantastico for sure. I loved sinking into the seats and stretching out comfortably. Pure bliss.

Music. It is something without which any drive is incomplete. The makers of Zica have definitely understood the breed of music lovers and have installed an 8 speaker system – 4 speakers and 4 tweeters. What more? They have come up with a Jukebox app that allows the passengers to line up the songs they want to hear and to stream music from multiple phones. This pegged to be one of the most unique features of the car.

The thought behind this app is that even those sitting on the passenger seat can get the chance of playing their favourite songs without disturbing the driver.

Along with the JukeBox, it has also added an Android only navigation app that displays turn-by-turn navigation on the infotainment system when the smartphone is connected via Bluetooth. The volume of the music is lowered, the app gives out the instruction and the song resumes.

Zica also has steering mounted controls and reverse parking sensors on the high end variant which help one park easily, too.

Does Zica have driving modes like Zest? Yes, of course! It has ECO and City driving modes and we had a chance to experience it as well!

Music is sorted, seating is comfy… what else will a passenger crave for? Space to keep bottles of water on a sunny day and AC vents to cool.

The AC vents are designed in such a way that it offers good airflow. Love this feature! The Zica is also very spacious and the makers have been very generous in designing it. You can now store bottles of water, piping hot coffee, your tablet and charge your phone with ease.

After reading my experience all I have to ask you is what’s not to love in this wonderful new car from the house of Tatas!

Here are some fun moments that I shared with my friends during this wonderful trip with Zica 🙂

Do you have any questions for me about the car? Do ask me. Would love to share my experiences with you.

We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
