Have a happy period! I would scream and yell, internally of course, when I would hear this advertisement by a popular brand. I was in pain; it was of as if somebody is squelching my stomach and back internally. In spite of that I had to go to work, smile, be efficient and not shout at/murder anybody if they asked me with a smirk, “PMS kya? I can tell”
I have survived my first period with the hope that it probably happened once in a year or something when my grim looking mother clarified and told me that it happens every month. I am sure each and every woman has been through a phase where she wishes that she was born a boy. I secretly still do whenever Aunt Flo strikes me.
But enough of my ramblings! All I can say thank you, Creator of the Universe, for making one sensible lady who understood the pain that women go through and decided to make those five nasty days a fun and sometimes, even a happy experience. Kudos to BeingJuliet.com!
So what does BeingJuliet.com do?
Well, it curates a special box every month containing a month’s supply of sanitary napkins, tampons, panty liners along with thoughtful gifts and goodies to pamper, cheer and indulge us ladies during our periods.
This is what I received in my first ever subscription box in August.
A cute scarf, intimate wipes, Kahwa tea sachets
A Coloressence lipstick in deep red, under eye gel cream, a cute bottle of saunf and my favourite, one tub of Hokey Pokey ice cream!
They also sent in the cute letter with the periods essentials of course. I personally am not comfortable with tampons and I decided to order sanitary napkins only. But they allow you to choose 20 different items.
All the goodies arrived in a sturdy cardboard box bearing the Being Juliet logo.
For the first time in my life, I didn’t mind getting my periods and I even managed to truly smile instead of scowling at everyone. So will I subscribe Being Juliet again? Hell yes!
We seriously need some pampering after going thru 5 days of torture every month.. This is such a good concept 🙂
Quite innovative idea. I would love to subscribe.
