Nioxin 3 step process review by my cousin!

Hello all,
I hope you remember the post that I put up last month about the Nioxin event. Well, Natasha from the salon decided that I had lovely hair (I love boasting!) and therefore I could gift my treatment to anybody I liked. So here is my cousin’s review after using Nioxin for 20 days.
Before we get to it, let me tell you a little about Nioxin regime.
Nioxin is a four step treatment. The first step, dermabrasion is done once a month and will cost you somewhere around Rs. 3000. It has to be done by a professional and in a salon. The hair dresser will gently massage the product for 10 minutes and then wash it off. Once that is done, you will have to invest in a three step treatment kit for cleansing, revitalizing and treatment. This kit will be recommended to you by the professional after he or she evaluates your hair.

The most important element of using Nioxin is that you have to use it everyday without fail to ensure that it is effective. Now, this personally is a biggest con for me as the monsoon and the winters don’t really permit you to do that. You may just end up catching a cold! But then if something proves to be effective, then I guess one can afford to make a few allowances.
Anyway, lets get on with my cousins review J
The first thing that one needs to remember that Nioxin does not make use of any harmful chemicals nor does it have any side effects. If you decide to stop using the treatment, it won’t cause you any harm. Second thing, it promises to give 70% thicker hair in a period of 4 weeks.
Personally, I have been using this product for 20 days and I have found it to be decently effective. I wouldn’t say that the results were exactly like the product claim but they were good enough. I am looking forward to seeing the long term effect it has on my hair.
Let me tell you a little about the products that I used. In the first step, I used a cleanser (basically a shampoo) that would  remove dirt and sebum from the scalp and unclogs the hair follicles.
The second step involves using a scalp revitalizer which acts like a very light conditioner. This proved to be great for me as most conditioners tend to weigh down my hair.
In the third step, I would spray on a scalp treatment when it is still moist to ensure that the first two steps were effective.
That is all. I would like to wait for a few more days to give Nioxin my hundred percent endorsement but for now I can say that it is fairly effective.
Hope you enjoyed the review J
