Hello ladies,
The monsoon has started but we Mumbaikars still have to face days when the sun continues to relentlessly scorch us with its rays. Yes, we Mumbaikars live in a ‘frying pan’ and our skin suffers the most. That is why; I thought let me do a round-up of my top 5 sunny day beauty secrets that would help you keep tanning away!

Invest a sunscreen and apply it all the time!

You are not supposed to smear on a sunscreen just once a day and forget about it. You should be reapplying it every two to three hours if you want to prevent your skin from ageing early.
Keep your body hydrated
Dehydration can make your skin look dull and lifeless and it can affect your overall health, too. So carry a bottle of water wherever you go and keep sipping on it. If you like, opt for vitamin water to ensure that your body gets a regular supply of nutrients.
De-tan your skin
I personally did not think it was possible until I tried the Spinz Sun Tan Remover myself. I was supposed to attend one of my friend’s wedding but I was badly tanned while frolicking on a beach without a sunscreen. I had two options; go to her wedding with my burned, tomato red skin or try Spinz Sun tan remover. I decided to opt for the latter and was pleasantly surprised with the results! It worked and I ended up looking gorgeous at her wedding. Check this video to know more about the product.

In just 5 minutes, it was like I had an immediate facial. My friends who had seen me earlier in the day were pretty shocked and wanted to know the name of my parlour and how much it cost. I gleefully gave them my home address and said it was just Rs. 89!#SpinzBanTheTan
When they still didn’t believe me I invited them home the next day and took them through these simple steps:
·         A Single use requires about 8 to 9 grams if used only on the face.
·         Apply the Cream generously on your face avoiding the sensitive area like the eye contours.
·         Massage gently in slow circular motions and  leave on Skin for 5 minutes
·         After 5 minutes wash with water and Pat Dry.
·         Radiant De-tanned Look
It’s magic and the best part is that it contains no bleach!
Cleanse your face with cold milk
After spending time in the sun, you should come back home and cleanse your face with some cold milk and cotton to soothe your skin. Your skin will definitely thank you later.

Eat healthy
Last but not the least, you should eat healthy. If you eat greasy, oily food it will directly reflect on your skin. So eat healthy and you skin will definitely glow with happiness!

I totally agree on keeping ourselves hydrated but a cold milk? Hmm… Thats new for me…. Cleansing our face with milk, totally new. Will I have a breakout if I do this for first time?

I do the cold milk trick – it's very soothing and it keeps my skin smooth. This is the first time though that I've heard about de-tanning … pretty cool.

Number three is very interesting. De-Tanning. Never thought that reverse process exists. The others are common knowledge, but they need to be reminded to people.

Thanks for the helpful tips. Among all of them, I find the hydration very important. Not only does it keep your skin nice and moist, it also prevents heat strokes.

This is my first time to hear about de-tanning and it's really possible? That's something new and interesting to research about. Of course, the first rule every summer is to keep ourselves hydrated. 🙂

Water intake is very important during summer to avoid dehydration and heat stroke. I was thinking of using cold milk as facial wash too coz it helps moisturize the skin – KarenT

Sacramento can get really hot too, maybe similar in Mumbai during our Summer season. I agree that we need to hydrate often and apply sunscreen.
