Summer Casual wear look with Zovi.com

Hot chocolate fudge and vanilla ice cream, nimboo paani with crushed ice, multi hued tongues (thanks to eating ice candies) and bright coloured…these are the things that define summer for me. And I try to implement these four concepts whenever I dress up. You want to know how? Have a look at my summer casual look in association with Zovi.com. But before that let me also share my experience of using this shopping portal

About Zovi.com

A revolutionary concept in apparel! The ZOVI brand was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: Let’s locally design and manufacture high-quality lifestyle apparel and accessory products and exclusively offer them online to you at extremely reasonable prices

A bright and beautiful range of clothing greets you the minute you open Zovi.com. It is definitely a welcome change from the regular designs of online shopping portals. You can scroll through their ranges and click on what you like. In order to create my summer casual look, I wanted to have something desi and something videsi, too.

Now, to be frank, whenever I shop online, the first thing I do is use the sorting feature so that they clothes are displayed according to their prices. But when I saw Zovi’s collection, I was shocked. Everything was so stylish and affordable and for the first time while shopping online I did not have to sort the clothes according to their prices.

With the burden of shopping withing a budget off my shoulders, I happily went through their entire collection. After an hour, I had shortlisted my favourite outfits, a kurta, a skirt, a pair of shoes and a formal shirt.

I placed my order easily in a few simple steps, got a confirmation and within three days my box of goodies was delivered.

Desi girl

Inspired by icy cool nimboo paani, this blueprinted kurti with contrast yoke has been paired with simple black leggings (a staple for any desi girl’s wardrobe), a pair of dangly earrings and a leather wristlet. It is the perfect look for a summer’s day when you are looking to go outdoors with friends. It is a fuss free look with minimum make up and accessories so that you can enjoy the sun without being bothered about anything at all.

Fusion lover
A multi coloured full length ghagra skirtpaired with a basic white tee and a blue jacket, this look is good for dinner with friends. I have added semi precious stone earrings to the look and a stack of bracelets and bangles, too. The skirt is comfortable yet dressy and makes a great casual look.

The Un-formal look
I have taken a pretty Check boyfriend shirt the kind that you would easily wear to work and have given it an un-formal twist. I have worn a T back along with a long chain which has three of my favourite rings as pendants and have opened up the buttons entirely in the first look and partially in the second.

Just shoes
I also ordered a pretty pair of vanilla white shoes and did not want any outfit to draw attention away from their gorgeousness. I love the laser cut in these shoes that not only looks stylish but also allow air pass through the feet so that they don’t stink after you wear it for long hours.

The flower just pales in comparison to my pretty shoes, doesn’t it?

Summer casual look for men
Summer is the time when men should experiment with colours and I strongly believe that they should be experimental, too.

Here are my summer casual looks for men.
The  laid back look
A formalcotton mint green shirt paired with slim stretch white denims and brown casual shoes is the perfect look for the daytime. The colours are unique and the overall effect of the look is very relaxed and easy going.

For a night out with friends

I love it when try to be a little experimental and play around with colours and designs. I love this light khaki green shirt because it has two rows of buttons instead of the usual one. You can pair it with black pants and black casual lace up shoes. Untuck the shirt when you hit the pubs and tuck it back in when you are going out for a dinner with your lovely lady. 🙂

Basic tee and jeans
If you are looking to dress up in a hurry, then simply throw on a clean graphic teepair it with basic blue denims and a funky pair of sports shoes  and you are good to go.

That blue kurti is beautiful. I'm not Indian but I love kurtis because I'm always looking for knee length and below dresses that have 3/4 sleeve or full sleeves and it's hard to find here. But there are so many pretty kurtis like that!

About Munni of all Trades

We remember the day seven years back when were travelling in a Mumbai local trying hard to come up with a name for our blog when struck us; Khushboo was always called a Jack of all Trades. The name stuck (with a slight modification, of course) and Munni was born. Six years, over 100 collaborations, lakhs of readers and several awards later; our love for blogging continues to grow. We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
