Heya,

Recently, I had the opportunity to interact with Shipra Khanna who was the winner of season 2 of MasterChef. I had a nice chat with her about her life after winning the competition and also on her latest food reality television series, MasterChef Travel which will focus on the signature food and wine experiences travelers can indulge their taste buds in when in Australia. I even got her to share one her signature recipes for my lovely readers. Will write about it my next food post. Hope you enjoy the interview.

How has your life changed after winning Masterchef India, Season 2?
Life just began after winning Masterchef is what I would say. MC has given me a great platform to live my dream. I have been travelling learning teaching and still isn’t enough!
How does it feel when people recognize you on the streets?
Feels great especially when I see people connecting with me, loving and hugging as if they’ve known me for years! It turns out to be very emotional at times too!
Tell us some of your experiences while working on MasterChef Travel
It was peak summers when I went to Australia but the food, the people, the eateries their local products and produce really excited me. I went to the wineries there and was impressed with the variety of wine and ciders taste and quality they offered. The dairy products were also amazing! That was indeed one of my best experience there along with making your own fresh fruit ice cream.
Then, Victoria market and the fresh product there, almost everything is produced in Australia which indeed makes them really proud of it.
All in all Masterchef Travel exposed a lot that Australia has to offer!
What was your favourite destination while shooting for MasterChef Travel?
Gold Coast… It is simply amazing! The place has a beautiful vibe, which reenergizes you.
Share a funny incident from MasterChef Travel with us
When I went to the SCG Sydney cricket ground, an Australian and an Indian had a big argument on the SCG itself as to which team is better in cricket; Australian or Indian. It got me thinking how certain things gets out patriots in us especially when it comes to food and sports
What is the most unusual recipe you have ever created?
Lots of them! One of them was Achari Halomi Tortilla, I made it in the WB movie world in Australia!
Which is your favourite restaurant in the world?
 Zuma, London and Dubai
A TV show, a cook book and your own restaurant…what do you dream of doing next

Opening a chain of restaurants across the globe !

About Munni of all Trades

We remember the day seven years back when were travelling in a Mumbai local trying hard to come up with a name for our blog when struck us; Khushboo was always called a Jack of all Trades. The name stuck (with a slight modification, of course) and Munni was born. Six years, over 100 collaborations, lakhs of readers and several awards later; our love for blogging continues to grow. We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
