Chic and professional are the qualities I like to portray through my dressing style when at work. I think it is important to dress well and have a feminine touch in my look but I also ensure that I am comfortable so that I can work peacefully. I have compiled a few tips for women who are just starting out in the corporate world and are a little confused about what to wear. I am going to cover office wear for women and tell you about three basics that you absolutely need to be a corporate diva!
The Basic white shirt
A basic white shirt that is perfectly tailored is an important part of your work wardrobe. It is a very versatile garment that can be styles with a scarf, a vest or a jacket. So when you are about to buy one do not be stingy and invest in something that is of really good quality as this is one of the most important corporate dresses for women
Your pants should fit you well and at the same time should be comfortable so that you can move around freely. Invest in darker shades so that they are easy to clean though I would also recommend that you own at least one light shade when you are in the mood to experiment.
Jacket and a vest
Corporate offices can often freeze you to death because of their near artic temperatures (or so it seems to me!) Wearing a hoodie or sweater is a big NO and that is why; it is essential that you keep a jacket or a vest handy in the office. Replace them every week with a clean. I personally own jackets in multiple colours and I enjoy pairing them with my blouses.
Along with these basics, ensure that you have a great collection of accessories and shoes so that you never look boring. That’s all from me J
