Talk about computers and people’s faces light up. For them, computers are a magical device that bring in development to their villages. They can access BPL lists, apply for schemes and even book railway tickets! Yes, these are their meager demands. When we, city dwellers, talk about e-Governance, we have big expectations. We want computers to be installed in every school of every village of India, we want every child to grow up learning through computers, we went those nice villagers to vote for the right candidate by looking up their record and so many things that won’t even come to the mind of a person from rural India.
How has the government introduced E-Governance in India?
In the end I would just like to say that E-Governance may seem like a distant dream at the moment but if there is political will and help from private players like Intel, then we can soon see a 100% #DigitalIndia where nothing is impossible.
