Heya,

Before I share with you my recipe for a #GreatDad, I think you should watch this video. 🙂

Dads are superheroes aren’t they? While moms generally coo over us and cuddle as we cry, Dads; they are different. They brush you up and tell to keep doing things till you get it right; whether it is getting back on the bicycle after you’ve fallen down or it is tackling a particularly big bully in school. But what goes into making these super heroes. Sugar, spice and something nice? Nah, it is much more than that. That is why; Munni of all Trades has come up with her special recipe.

Ingredients
Two tablespoons of Respect
Half a cup of Encouragement
1 dollop Love and affection
5 cups of Time
A big heart
One cup of Chutzpah
Half tablespoon of Bad Jokes
Discipline (to taste)
The recipe
Once you’ve got the ingredients in place, take a huge mixing bowl and add a dollop of love and affection followed by a hint encouragement. It will make your child know that he or she is special. Then add lots and lots of time, because nothing can replace the childhood memories that you have.
A big heart, which shows your child how to be a better human being is essential for this recipe to be a great success. You also need a drizzle of bad jokes because hey dad’s are usually world renowned clowns aren’t they?
Chutzpah is one ingredient that every Dad needs for he needs to teach his child the lesson of standing up for the right and being vocal about the things you truly believe in. Along with this, a little Respect is also needed to add that balance to the recipe. Sprinkle some discipline according to your taste and there you have it! The #GreatDad! 🙂

Aww, what a cute way of putting this idea across in your post. I agree with that 5 cups (substantial amt in the whole recipe) of time. I noticed that being the breadwinner of the family, dads tend to neglect this aspect the most.

About Munni of all Trades

We remember the day seven years back when were travelling in a Mumbai local trying hard to come up with a name for our blog when struck us; Khushboo was always called a Jack of all Trades. The name stuck (with a slight modification, of course) and Munni was born. Six years, over 100 collaborations, lakhs of readers and several awards later; our love for blogging continues to grow. We continue to write on an eclectic range of topics from the funniest autorickshaw signs that we have spotted in Mumbai to how to bathe an elephant. We are true blue Munni of all Trades and we hope to continue on this joyride with our fellow Munnis and Munnas. Read More
