We are soon coming to an end of our marathon and I would love to know what makes you happy? It can be anything; from Alpenliebe to a gorgeous new phone.

Personally, chocolates, lollipops, playing candy crush (when nobody is looking), dressing up in blue and reading my favorite books over and over again makes me happy.
To participate in this contest all you have to do is:
Answer the question, “What makes you happy?”
Share this giveaway on Facebook with the hashtag #23DaysOfHappiness with five friends.

Optional entry

Leave comments on any post of your choice.
That’s it! The best answer will an opportunity to shop on Flipkart for Rs. 500.
Simple isn’t it?
All the best guys! J

P.S. Reena Karthik has won our giveaway yesterday! Congratulations dear. Send in your details to me asap

Dear Khushboo, Many times I do my things without thinking, so I make mistakes and go wrong and sometimes I do wrong and go Right.

I realize only after it happened and I ask my conscious what do I do? I hear a voice from my inner self “mistakes can be rectified but wrong doings cannot…!

I go repeat same mistakes it goes right, I do right which goes wrong. And my conscious is confused has no answer. I laugh a loud, who cares, let's go and enjoy the life. so these little things makes me happy always.

MONEY CAN NOT BRING HAPPINESS, HAPPINESS BRINGS MONEY! SO HOW TO BE HAPPY?
STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS, DO NOT BE JUDGMENTAL AND DON'T LIVE LIFE ON ASSUMPTIONS, LIVE LIFE AS YOU GO.. WALKING, TALKING, DRINKING, DANCING, SHOPPING ETC.

    Firstly congratulations turning 23 !!

I am an avid reader of your blog and wish you success in the coming years.

Just like how blogging gives you happiness ~ Caring for animals esp. stray ones and feeding under privileged children makes me very happy.

I used to donate regularly to PETA but I felt I wasn't doing enough to protect animals. According to Gandhiji we should be the change we want to see in the world…..so I turned a vegetarian. I thought , “Why not go ahead and be more proactive”…so , I went ahead and became a member of People For Animals (India chapter) and have taken it upon myself to feed all stray dogs in my locality which number around 75. For this I keep aside some of my savings and urge my family to do the same and with the help of this I go around every morning and evening feeding strays – it fills my with happiness & it works out as a great motivator for morning walks too !

I participate frequently in adoption drives and have adopted many animals till date. Currently we have 3 cats , 1 dog and we feed a large number of birds. This summer I went around convincing people to keep pans of water for thirsty birds and this has been a success. Whenever we go out of station , I appoint a person to go around feeding my animals both in my home and in the streets.
I am also a member of Bombay Natural Historical Society and Nature Environment Wildlife Society(protects the Sunderbans) and do my bit in preserving wild animals too.

This too I felt was not enough. So, Me and my family decided to turn Vegan and have complelty abandoned milk and all milk products which are produced by torturing cows with hormones. We do not own any leather products – no matter how attractive. We also don’t consume honey which is cruel towards honey bees.

The epitome of my entire family’s commitment towards animals can be seen by my actions in deciding not to wear silk saris for my wedding – as they are fabricated by killing silk worms. I reused my granny’s wedding saris and wore cotton.

I also cook for needy children near my home & when they call my “Mummy” my heart brims with happiness ! Everyone is a mother to her own children , but to be called Mom by children who have seen so much harness……it fills my eyes with tears….

All in all , I wish to do more and so does my family

Life is full of beautiful things. Some things which make me happy r in the early morning my daughters hug and son's smile. Husbands compliment n maid's funny style. Pretty n clourful flowers in my garden n big clourful rangoli in my entrance. Some old childhood albums n some funny videos on whats app. Bumping in to talkative friend while going to the market n jumping with skipping rope with son in garden.
All these things makes me happy

    Hey Khushboo,
Thank You Once Again for coming up with such a lovely giveaway 🙂
Happiness for me is not only external but also internal 🙂
Some of the things which give me happiness are winning contests, shopping in malls, traveling, etc.
One of the most happiest days of my life was when I won a prize from the Governor of Reserve Bank of India Mr. Raghuram Rajan (P.S. I am sending the picture) for being the “Jewel Teacher” of my college. That special moment brought tears in my eyes as not only did my parents, husband and daughter felt proud but I was delighted that my efforts and hard work rewarded me. It made me realize that fruits are not important but the perseverance and patience that matters the most. Apart from that I also smile when I share happiness with others. Being a teacher I offer free teaching services to the children of an NGO. Their quest for learning encourages me and I am motivated to give my best everyday. I am thankful to God for blessing me with a small and sweet family who is always with me anytime and anywhere. I always love drinking coconut water with them at Juhu beach. Preparing Gulab Jamuns for my sweet loving family is the sweetest pleasure. The smallest hand made card by my daughter or a kiss from my husband before leaving for work or even my puppy waiting for me to serve him food are the small things in life that matter a lot to me 😀
Last but not the least.. Happiness is an inner state of mind, I am very optimistic in life.. I always believe that “The best is yet to come”. Practising Yoga on a regular basis gives me that inner peace of mind. The pleasure that I derive from it is something that I cannot express in words 🙂 Having a thankful and forgiving attitude, thanking God for living such a beautiful life makes me happy 😀

Hello Khushboo! Thanks for the giveaway!
For me happiness is not in buying costly things..but I find happiness in teeny-weeny things.
For me happiness is having golgappas at the street corner with my friends, having masale waala bhutta when it rains, watching a romantic movie with my guy, being appreciated for my looks, walking with him and in hand, Pouting like crazy & clicking endless selfies and sharing them with my girls,
Who said Happiness comes with big things only, its only how we want to perceive it.
I find it in small things, so I care about little things more which can make me the HAPPIEST person alive.

    Dear Khushaboo,

You may be aware of Gandhi's talisman, I have found my talisman in 'farmer' and Whenever I am in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with me, I recall the face of the poorest and the weakest farmer whom I have seen, and use to ask myself, if the step I contemplate is going to be of any use to him [her]. Will he [she] gain anything by it? Will it restore him [her] to a control over his [her] own life and destiny?

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when Igrew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life”. –John Lennon

These lines are very much relevant to my life. When i have voluntarily join to KASTKAR (a group of youth working with farmers) and started to work with farmers without any monetary benefit. My friend circle always questioned me what I wanted to be in life and my answer was 'HAPPY.'

Happiness is a situation that one cannot be sure when it comes but when it is there one should enjoy each moment of the life as it has greater power to make your life meaningful. Happiness makes me forget the troubles of the past.

For me happiness lies in working with farmers for their right, while talking to Dalits/adiwasis, drinking cup of tea with them. My search for meaningful/purposeful life give me happiness for every moment.

Thank you for coming up with lovely giveaway and enjoyed reading other participants' answer on What makes you happy?
