Let me be frank here, I am a complete klutz. If you ask me to roast a papad, I will burn my hand, drop the papad on my leg, then hop around on one foot claiming that it was too hot. If you ask me to dance, I will just hobble for a bit, sometimes not even that and run away the first chance I get. If you ask me to drive a car, I will… well I hope you get the picture. So in order to something hatke, I made a resolution on 1st March, 2014 (my 22nd birthday) to add some zest in my life, one step at a time.
I am scared of large water bodies, so much so that I don’t even bathe in the bath tub. I’ve had this fear ever since I almost drowned in a pool as a kid. But I decided to overcome this fear when I visited Bhopal. Maybe it was the large glistening water body in front of me or the little boats merrily bobbing around; but I suddenly realized how stupid my fear was. So, I hopped into the boat and enjoyed a boat ride for 40 minutes without screaming. Yes, I even managed to smile a little and get this photograph clicked!
Getting rid of my two left feet
When I was a little girl, my mom made me join dance classes. I managed to write my way through dance class, but eventually, I had to quit. You see, instead of mastering the dance moves, I would learn the theory well. Ask me the history of Bharatnatyam and I wouldn’t stop for hours. Ask me to dance for a bit and I would stand staring at the guru. I forgot about dancing completely, until one fine day when I was asked to perform in Japan of all places!
I practiced hard for a month and the result? Check out the picture 😀
Shoes scare me; especially the ones that make you feel that you are standing on top of a mountain! But this year, I started practicing wearing heels. When my friends would leave the room, I would remove the heels from their wardrobes and practice. After a few months, I can now walk confidently (sometimes) in heels. Cool na?
I don’t how to cycle. (Yes, I am a 22 year old girl who doesn’t know how to cycle. Stop chortling, now really.) You see, I am scared of any sort of heavy machinery but the day I set my eyes on Zest, I had to learn how to drive! Have a look at this beauty; I am sure this is what love at first sight feels like.
Why I love the Zest?
I think these drool worthy pictures have spoken more than a million words to tell you about the things that add Zest to my life, including the Tata Motors Zest. 😉
Do share what adds zest to your life 😀
