Touch screen gadgets have always scared me. I guess it is because my first touch screen gadget, a Corby phone scarred me for life. I had to literally jab its screen to get things done and often I would accidentally send messages to the wrong set of people. So once my Corby died out, I decided to stay away from touch screen gadgets until a couple of weeks back.
Dell decided to send in their Dell Venue 7 tablet so that I could review it. I was a little apprehensive initially, but let me tell you this tablet has completely floored me!
I am not going to get specifications of the tablet, because frankly, I cannot make head or tail out of it. I am just going to tell you features that I absolutely loved J
I can grin evilly when my friends’ batteries run out
My Dell Venue 7 tablet has an amazing battery life and it lasts up to 7 hours. I carried it on a road trip and happily played games and listened to music as the batteries of my friend’s phones died out.
I can download as many apps as I like
The first thing I did when I got the tablet in my hands was to download hundreds of apps. My sister smirked and told me that it would slow down the tablet. But it didn’t. That is because my superior tab has 2GB RAM.
I can blog in the middle of the night
Oh yes! Some of my best ideas have struck me in the middle of the night and I have to write right away or I forget them. Usually, I would walk around in the dark, hunt for my spectacles (I am blind without them), switch on my laptop and wait for it to spring into life. Now, I just press a button, switch on my tab and write away. It is so convenient to use it and it has effectively become my all in one tool for blogging.
I don’t have to lug around my heavy camera
I hate carrying my phone and my camera in my tiny sling bag. That is because I have a dabba non smart phone and a cool camera. But my Venue 7 had helped me find a middle path. I can click as many pictures as I like with my slim and lightweight tab.
It helped me get over my fear of touch screens
Dell Venue’s touch screen is butter smooth, if I may say so and so damn easy to use!
So, I am going to stop singing its praises and simply say that I love it!
